Logo Design Process
We take a very considered, pragmatic and thorough approach when designing and developing your logo and branding. Here are some notes to help you understand how we usually work:
|
|
How do we create your logo?
The first step towards creating your bespoke logo starts with an in-depth chat about your business, your customers and your objectives. If you have colours, shapes, fonts or indeed any ideas to contribute this is the ideal point to begin incorporating them. After your consultation our designers will prepare a selection of rough draft logos for you to comment on.
Shine is a women's community health and support service in Newcastle provided by the NHS. Shine recently came to thinkroomten looking to develop a new look for their organisation. Some of the ideas that were considered, refined and rejected are on the next few pages. |

First Drafts
The Brief: to create a bright, frendly, colourful, memorable and professional logo for 'Shine'.
This first selection of draft logos explores several different combinations of style, colour and composition. The logos themselves are roughly drawn at this stage, the detail and refinement comes later.
The design preferred by the customer is circled. |

No Pressure
At this point you can make any suggestions, changes or revisions as you wish, we encourage our customers to comment on each design and incorporate their feedback into the next round of ideas. You are welcome to request as many revisions as you want to see, all that we ask is that you provide useful feedback on each one before we move on to the next.
In this example the customer asked to see the logo in different colours but expressed a preference for warm colours like red, yellow and orange. Some variations of the general composition and design of the sun were also requested, most of the rejected ones aren't shown here. |

Final Round
Only when you are completely satisfied do we move on to the final step in the process where we prepare the master logo for general use, adding the details and finishing touches. For larger businesses we recommend producing a document for you which specifies how the logo should be used and with which colours, fonts etc. We also provide a brand dispatching service where we assist in getting your logo to the people who need it in the correct format, resolution, size and proportion.
We also specialise in printing stationery, business cards, brochures and marketing material, our rates are excellent value and our results speak for themselves. |
